Jets add Journeyman Receiver With Ties to Mougey, Glenn

Desperate for help at the wide receiver position, Jets GM Darren Mougey has reached out to ink a familiar face in journeyman receiver Josh Reynolds.  Formerly of the Rams, Lions, Titans, Broncos and Jaguars, the 6′ 3” Reynolds brings lots of experience.

The Jets have added free agent wide receiver Josh Reynolds who last played for the Denver Broncos.

Reynolds has had an up and down career since entering the league with the Rams back in 2017.  Twice he has eclipsed 600 yards receiving in a season (2020 and 2023) but has also come in with fewer than 400 yards five different times.

One of his best seasons did come two years ago with the Lions where Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was the team’s defensive coordinator.  Reynolds averaged an impressive 15.2 yards per catch by catching 40 passes for 608 yards while tying his career high of five touchdowns.

With so little depth in their receive room and his experience with Jets offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand, Reynolds may have a shot to stick around come week one.
