Jets bid Farewell to Defensive Captain CJ Mosely

The CJ Mosley era at 1 Jets Drive has officially come to an end as Gang Green has decided to part ways with the former All-Pro.  Looking to save cap space and get younger at the position, the Jets move on from their defensive captain and free up $4 million in June.

Jets savings after parting ways with CJ Mosley.

Mosley’s time as a Jet got off to a rough start as he missed all but a few snaps in his first year due to injury before opting out during the covid year.  Playing just two games in two years wasn’t the start many envisioned when he was added as a free agent from Baltimore.  From that point on however, he was a durable leader who was a big part what was, for a short time, a very good Jets defense.

As a Jet, Mosley racked up a total of 504 tackles (300 solo), 12 tackles for loss, 18 passes defended, 4 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles.
