Jets Wrap up 3 Interviews, Make Request for Another Chief

One might call this the championship portion of the Jets search for a new head coach and general manager as Gang Green completed interviews with two candidates from the Kansas City Chiefs and requested a third along with a current Philadelphia Eagle in Alec Halaby.

Current Chiefs offensive coordinator and former Bears head coach interviewed for the team’s vacant head coaching position while Mike Borgonzi, KC’s assistant GM, came in to interview for the general manager post.  Alec Halaby of the Eagles, who has spent a lot of time working analytics, was also interviewed for the GM role.

Apparently not done with putting Andy Reid’s staff under the microscope, the Jets requested permission to interview his defensive coordinator, Steve Spagnuolo.  “Spags” also has head coaching experience with stops at the Rams and an interim stint with the Giants.

Woody Johnson has added plenty of names to his search with former Jets cornerback Aaron Glenn set to come in and interview today.  One could make a case Glenn being the top candidate on the market with a known interest in coming to work for the Johnson family and the Jets.

Glenn was Born in the Bronx, New York and has followed the Jets religiously despite being stationed in several different countries and time zones around the world. He now resides in England and has been a JetNation member since 2005. Glenn will bleed green with the rest of us through the highs and lows.
