Quincy Williams Looking for Pay Raise From Jets

Jets star linebacker Quincy Williams wasted little time letting his future plans be known after the Jets beat the Miami Dolphins 32-20 to close out their 5-12 season.

The All-Pro linebacker took to twitter and shared a video

of a coach saying to his players in the locker room “All I gotta’ say; tell ’em to bring me my money”.

It’s difficult to blame Williams for his wishes.  He essentially signed a deal two years ago that paid him like a mid-tier player.  In year one of that deal he was arguably a top two or three linebacker in the NFL as he was name All-Pro for the first time.

Since signing his deal two years ago, Quincy Williams has over 220 tackles and 20 tackles for loss.  He has also dramatically improved his play in pass coverage over the past two seasons.

While there was some drop-off this year, he still far outperformed his current deal so with just one year left, a pay raise request should have been expected.
