While Jets fans are pretty strongly divided on what the team should do with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Joe Namath has weighed in.
The Hall of Fame quarterback took to twitter and said that if Rodgers “wants to”, he could “definitely help the new GM and coach” as he felt that today’s performance in the Jets win left “no doubt” that Rodgers can still play.
While some claim that owner Woody Johnson is ready to move on from Rodgers, it will be intersting to see what the team’s future GM and head coach think.
If Rodgers, even given his diminished skill set, is the best option on the market, one could argue that he should be back. But if the feeling is that he’s probably going to spend the rest of his career playing injured as he did for much of this season, the team may move on.
