Jets Make Slew of Roster Moves as CJ Mosley Heads to IR

The Jets made a slew of roster moves today with the headlining decision being linebacker CJ Mosley heading to injured reserve.  This will mean the end of the road for Mosley who spent six seasons with the Jets, but will have missed 44 games by the end of this season.

Injured for all of two games of the 2019 season, Mosley then opted out of the 2020 season during the COVID pandemic.

Mosley to IR was far from the Jets only move of the day as wide receiver Allen Lazard and offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer were both activated.  Schweitzer returning led to the team releasing offensive lineman Connor McGovern.

Defensive back Kendall Sheffield was also added to the roster which is likely a move to beef up the secondary with cornerback Sauce Gardner dealing with a balky hamstring.
