Bringing Back Bam; Jets add RB Knight to Practice Squad

Jets GM Phil Savage made his first moves as the Jets GM in bringing back former Gang Green running back Bam Knight to the team’s practice squad along with little-known wide receiver Easop Winston.

Since the Knight signing we’ve learned that starting running back Breece Hall is nursing a knee injury.  While it’s unlikely Knight would see action this weekend against the Seahawks, bringing back the versatile runner who had success with the Jets a couple of years ago isn’t a bad idea.

Knight had a legitimate shot to stick with the Jets before the team signed free agent running back Dalvin Cook before realizing the move was a waste of money and a roster spot last season.

Back in 2022 as an undrafted free agent out of NC State, Knight carried the ball 85 times for 300 yards while hauling in 13 passes for 100.

In Winston, the Jets are adding a receiver who returned 10 kicks for 119 yards as a member of the Saints back in 2021.  He was also a member of the Seahawks just a couple of months ago so possibly a player whose brain the Jets can pick with Seattle coming up this Sunday.
