Joe Douglas DONE! Jets Fire GM With six Games Remaining

It was the only logical thing to do; Jets GM Joe Douglas has been fired just a month after head coach Robert Saleh was shown the door and owner Woody Johnson began making personnel moves.

After assembling what many believed would be a Super Bowl contender, the Jets sputtered to a 2-3 start, which prompted the firing of Saleh and currently sit at 3-8.

It was recently rumored that Douglas was already expecting to join the Baltimore Ravens front office next season and was already house hunting in the Baltimore area.  Dianna Russini of The Athletic fired off a tweet saying “much more to the story to come”.

Douglas’ time with the Jets will be remembered most for missing on QB Zach Wilson and offensive tackle Mekhi Becton.

He does however leave behind plenty of young talent for his successor to either build off of, or ship out of town for tons of premium draft capital.
