Poached Leg; Jets Lose Kicker Spencer Shrader to Chiefs

And just like that, the Spencer Shrader era comes to an end.  The place kicker who went 2-2 on field goals for Gang Green has been snapped up by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Shrader was elevated to the team’s 53-man roster prior to last week’s game but automatically reverted back to the practice squad after the game.  The Jets did offer to put Shrader on their active roster if he deferred the Chiefs claim but the kicker chose a shot to win as a part-time kicker over kicking full time for the Jets.  This, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.
