Jets Week 10 Inactive List; Starting 5 Back in Up Front for New York

After getting their first victory under interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich, the 3-6 New York Jets travel west to face the 5-4 Arizona Cardinals, who currently hold first place in the NFC West.

Offensively, the offensive line had two starters begin the week on the injury report; John Simpson (groin), Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle), and one backup, Jake Hanson (hamstring) who started last week’s game at right guard. It appears as though the Jets will have their original five starters for this game. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has not been fully healthy since Week 3, says that he has the energy of a “jackrabbit”, so his mobility should be increased. All good signs for an offense trying to round into form down the stretch.

On the defensive side of the ball, LB CJ Mosley will be out again with his neck injury, which also caused him to sit out of last Thursday’s game. Ulbrich said he had some minor procedures to regain more range of motion, so that will be something to monitor going forward. DT Solomon Thomas (knee) was also ruled out, but it appears as if slot cornerback Michael Carter II will be returning to the lineup after sustaining a back injury a few weeks ago.

New York will also have their third place kicker in as many games, after Greg Zuerlein (left leg) was placed on Injured Reserve and Riley Patterson (3/3 on PATs vs Houston) was released from the practice squad. Anders Carlson was signed to the P-squad, but Spencer Shrader will be the kicker for this week’s game. Here is the full list of inactives for this afternoon’s west coast matchup.

  • T Carter Warren
  • RB Israel Abanikanda
  • LB CJ Mosley
  • DL Solomon Thomas
  • OL Jake Hanson
