Schefter: Jets and Steelers put Trade Talks on Hold

Known to be shopping wide receiver Mike Williams, the Jets have reportedly been discussing a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who they will play tonight. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the two teams have put talks on hold prior to facing one another tonight.

Williams’ time as a Jet was clearly ticking away after running a bad route that led to a game-ending interception last week. This, after being outmuscled the week before on what was also the Jets final play of the game against the Vikings when he allowed another game-ending interception.
The Jets are unlikely to get much in a deal for Williams, but once he drew the ire of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Jets went out and got Davante Adams, the writing was on the wall and Williams is on his way out.
