Jets Elevate QB Adrian Martinez Ahead of Vikes Matchup
The Jets have elevated a pair of players ahead of Sunday’s meeting with the Minnesota Vikings in quarterback Adrian Martinez and linebacker Marcelino McCrary-Ball.
The move shouldn’t come as much surprise given how much of a beating Aaron Rodgers took against the Broncos last week. The Broncos were able to hit Rodgers 14 times while racking up five sacks. In facing the Vikings, it could be more of the same given their propensity to send heavy blitz packages.
In fact, in our players to watch game preview we mentioned the possibility of Rodgers not making it through the full game. It seems Robert Saleh and company see that as a possibility as well.
McCrary-Ball was also active last week and did a stellar job on special teams where he’s expected to see action against the Vikings.
