Breer: Teams “Convinced” Davante Adams Wants to be Jet

NFL insider Albert Breer just shared a tweet that should pique the interest of Jets fans everywhere as he claims that teams are “convinced the Raiders star is focused on engineering a trade to the Jets”.

Given Adams’ history with Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, this should come as little surprise, but is still huge news if true.  While there is a clear reason why Adams would want to be a Jet, there were also some talk of the receiver having an interest in joining another very good friend and quarterback in Derek Carr with the Saints.

Carr and Adams played together in college and then again for a short time with the Raiders.  Had that been his top choice, it wouldn’t have come as much of a surprise.

Should Adams help orchestrate a deal to the Jets, it would give Gang Green one of the top receiver rooms in the NFL with Garrett Wilson, Mike Williams and Allen Lazard already in the fold.
