Jets Week 4 Inactive List vs Broncos: No Mosley, Moses; Olu Makes First NFL Start

Looking to start a winning streak, the 2-1 Jets face off against the 1-2 Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium. Coming off a Thursday night dominant victory against the Patriots, New York has a short injury list with nine days of rest. Offensively, right tackle Morgan Moses suffered an MCL sprain and bone bruise in Week 3, and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. Head coach Robert Saleh said the team is not electing to place him on short-term IR, a positive sign that he will be closer to the former in that projected timeline. It appears the team may be hopeful for Moses’ return against Buffalo on Monday Night Football. In his place steps rookie Brock Bo… I mean Olu Fashanu, who the team correctly chose at 11th overall in April’s draft. He took snaps in training camp and during the preseason at right tackle, but now will be tasked with blocking Jonathan Cooper and Zach Allen, who both rank in the top-15 in pressure rate.

Defensively, LB CJ Mosley is still dealing with his toe injury, and was downgraded to doubtful midweek. He will not play, which means another start for Jamien Sherwood, who has looked impressive filling in for the Jets’ defensive captain. New York also elevated LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball and DL Bruce Hector from the practice squad. Here is the full list of inactive players:

  • OT Morgan Moses
  • OT Carter Warren
  • RB Israel Abanikanda
  • LB CJ Mosley
  • CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse
  • DL Leonard Taylor III
  • EDGE Braiden McGregor
