After a two game road trip, the 1-1 New York Jets come home to play host to AFC East rival New England Patriots. The biggest news in terms of injuries is, of course, Jermaine Johnson II. He confirmed via social media that he tore his right Achilles, and the team announced earlier today that they placed him on Injured Reserve. In his place, Jalyn Holmes was signed to the active roster from the practice squad. He has looked solid as part of the defensive line rotating for the Jets. Captain and linebacker CJ Mosley injured his right toe in Week 2, did not participate in practice all week, and is officially out for the game. Jamien Sherwood will step up in his absence, and the team elevated Marcelino McCrary-Ball from the practice squad.
