Jets Bring Back O-Lineman Connor McGovern to Practice Squad

The Jets worked out a group of offensive linemen today, one of whom was Connor McGovern who the team added to their practice squad

.  A veteran of seven NFL seasons, McGovern has spent the past three with Gang Green.

Having placed Wes Schweitzer on injured reserve, bringing back McGovern, who has center/guard flexibility makes sense.  The team had previously elevated guard Jake Hanson ahead of Monday night’s season-opening loss to the 49ers.

To make room for Schweitzer, the Jets parted ways with running back Xazavian Valladay.  Valladay spent most of last season on the Jets practice squad and he may be a candidate to return at a later date.
