Reddick to Report? Jets Clear cap Space, Star Does NJ Appearance

Is New York Jets edge rusher Haason Reddick finally ready to end his holdout and come to work?  We can’t say for sure, but all indications point to that happening in the very near future.

Embroiled in a contract standoff that has left him with millions of dollars in fines, Reddick still took the time to show up to an event in New Jersey to sign merch for fans.  An odd decision if he has no plans on playing for them any time soon.

This was reported by Connor Hughes of SNY.

Showing up for a local event is one thing, but doing it on the same day that the team restructured a pair of contracts to free up $8 million in cap space?  That’s what was reported by NFL insider Field Yates, who says the Jets re-worked the contracts of Quincy Williams and Tyler Conklin to create a bit room.

So while nothing is official as of yet, this is the first sign we’ve seen that the end of Reddick’s holdout may be near.
