Jets Defense Adds Another First-Round Pick in Lewis Cine

With safety being their least established position group on defense, the Jets have added former first-round pick Lewis Cine to their practice squad.  The Georgia product was chosen in the first round of the (32nd overall) of the 2022 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings.

Cine would miss the final 13 games of his rookie season due to injury and spent most of 2023 inactive.

While at Georgia, Cine played 39 games, picking up 97 tackles, 14 passes defended and 2 interceptions.

The news was first reported by Jeremy Fowler.
