Updated 53 Man Roster Projection; Which Longshots can Stick?

Today is the day that NFL GM’s dread more than any other on the calendar as the 53 man roster cut downs are upon us.  Given the amount of talent Joe Douglas has assembled, this will be harder than it has in recent years.

Things will be especially tough in the trenches where the Jets have had several standout performers to choose from.  Up front on defense you’ve got edge rushers Takk McKinley and Braiden McGregor along with tackle Leonard Taylor.  There’s also the versatile Jalyn Holmes who could be a potential John Franklin-Myers replacement.

On the offensive side, interior linemen Kohl Levao and Xavier Newman were outstanding in live action.  Meanwhile Chris Glaser was named as one of camps top performers by Aaron Rodgers while Jake Hanson was one of just two linemen to not surrender a QB pressure on 23 pass block reps.

The Jets have until 4pm today to make all of their cuts to get down to 53.
