Report: Jets to Retain 3 Undrafted Free Agent D-Linemen

Jets roster cut downs are coming out in dribs and drabs so much is unknown, but according to Connor Hughes of SNY, the team is retaining three undrafted free agent defensive linemen.

Edge rushers Braiden McGregor and Eric Watts are reportedly hanging around on the 53 man roster along with undrafted defensive tackle Leonard Taylor.  But the news for the Jets defensive line doesn’t stop there.

Free agent edge rusher Takk McKinley is also reportedly staying on the roster which comes as little surprise based on how well he played this preseason.

Of the three edge rushers who have made the cut (for now), it’s likely one of them will be let go if or when holdout Haason Reddick shows up.

But the early message appears to be clear from the Jets in that they want to load up on guys who can get after the quarterback and keep everybody fresh with a heavy rotation that can get after the quarterback.
