It seems the Jets really like cornerback Nehemiah Shelton, but they’re having commitment issues. The Jets signed Shelton after last season’s draft but let him go after the preseason but retained him on their practice squad.
He was let go once again in October and this time he landed on his feet in the UFL with the Memphis Showboats.
Not long after the Jets signed Shelton prior to the start of training camp, they cut ties again. Now the 6’2” 168 lb San Jose State product is back…for now.
To make room for Shelton the Jets parted ways with recently signed tight end Neal Johnson.
