The Jets are getting healthier as wide receiver Mike Williams has been activated from the PUP list
. Williams has yet to take part in any practices with the Jets since his arrival. The announcement was posted on the Jets official web page.Sep 17, 2023; Nashville, Tennessee, USA; Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (81) runs after a catch against Tennessee Titans cornerback Tre Avery (23) during the first half at Nissan Stadium. A highly talented yet oft-injured receiver, Williams gives the Jets a legitimate number two pass catcher with a large catch radius who can win one-on-one battles down the field. Pairing him with Garrett Wilson should give the Jets a pair of high level boundary receivers.
Williams did however miss fourteen games with a torn ACL last season which led to his least productive season (19/249/1) since his rookie year back in 2017.
The pressure for the Jets to get Williams up and running immediately has been eased to a degree due to Allen Lazard having a stellar camp.
