The Jets are getting healthier as wide receiver Mike Williams has been activated from the PUP list. Williams has yet to take part in any practices with the Jets since his arrival. The announcement was posted on the Jets official web page.
A highly talented yet oft-injured receiver, Williams gives the Jets a legitimate number two pass catcher with a large catch radius who can win one-on-one battles down the field. Pairing him with Garrett Wilson should give the Jets a pair of high level boundary receivers.
Williams did however miss fourteen games with a torn ACL last season which led to his least productive season (19/249/1) since his rookie year back in 2017.
The pressure for the Jets to get Williams up and running immediately has been eased to a degree due to Allen Lazard having a stellar camp.
