Schefter: Tarik Cohen Informs Jets of Plan to Retire

A surprise development out of Jets camp today as running back Tarik Cohen has told the Jets he will end his comeback bid and instead opt to retire.  The news came from NFL insider Adam Schefter

A former standout with the Chicago Bears, Cohen missed multiple seasons due to injury and was hoping to find his way back in to the league but that’s apparently no longer the case.

With a deep stable of running backs Cohen wasn’t a lock to make the 53 man roster so exactly how this will impact the Jets depth chart, if at all, remains to be seen.
