It was a big day for the Jets offense today as Aaron Rodgers and company completely dominated in the red zone with Rookie Malachi Corley taking advantage of increased targets.
With slot receiver Xavier Gipson on the shelf for a couple of weeks, Corley saw his number called in a variety of roles and did not disappoint. He caught TD passes from Aaron Rodgers and rookie Andrew Peasley. The one from Rodgers was a diving catch on a floater in the back of the end zone and from Peasley it was a screen pass that Corley took the distance.
Lining up all over the field, Corley also scored on the ground when the Jets gave him a look on an end around. The need for Corley to improve his route running is well known. But this doesn’t mean he can’t be active and productive if the Jets play to his strengths.
