Cimini: Jets add Former UFL QB to Camp Roster
Rich Cimini of ESPN New York is reporting that the Jets have made a couple of minor changes to their camp roster, but one of the two moves is somewhat interesting as the Jets get a look at a former UFL QB in Adrian Martinez.
A former signal caller for Nebraska and K-State, Martinez had a reputation in college as a great runner but a guy who turned the football over too often. However, his most recent season the the UFL saw him throw fifteen touchdowns to just three interceptions.
The Jets also added veteran cornerback Kendall Sheffield who defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich should know from their time in Atlanta back in 2019.
Sheffield has appeared in 43 NFL contests (20 starts) has experience as both a slot and boundary corner.
Recently signed quarterback Ben Bryant and cornerback Nehemiah Shelton were let go to clear roster space.
