While most Jets veterans will be reporting to training camp today, offseason addition Haason Reddick will be doing no such thing. This, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Jets acquired Reddick earlier this offseason to bolster their pass rush by adding an edge rusher who has amassed over fifty sacks over the past four seasons. The Jets surrendered a future third-round pick to the Eagles in the deal.
Due to make $14.5 million this season, the last on his contract, Reddick reportedly wants a new deal from a team with roughly six million in cap space.
It’s only day 1 of camp, but if this were to drag out, things could get ugly.
