It was a bittersweet day for one young Jets superstar as an anonymous exec rips Sauce Gardner for “holding on every play”. A take that should be reserved for those on the verge of being placed in a mental asylum.
ESPN has been releasing positional rankings as compiled behind the scenes from NFL executives and scouts. The Jets have fared quite well with Quinnen Williams and Breece Hall claiming the number two spot at their respective positions while Sauce Gardner came in third among corners.
Arguably the number one corner in the NFL, Gardner seems to have drawn the ire of one unknown observer who called the elite corner “overrated” while claiming he interferes with opposing receivers on “every play”. A demonstrably false claim if one were to simply watch a single Jets football game.
