Jets add UFL Standout Lineman Kohl Levao

JoeDouglasPractice

The Jets are reportedly signing United Football League standout offensive lineman Kohl Levao.

An interior lineman in college at Hawaii, Levao played left and right guard this season for the UFL’s San Antonio Brahmas.  He was one of the league’s top pass blocking interior lineman according to pro football focus.  His pass blocking grade of 77.3 was good enough for ninth in the UFL.

Levao’s overall grade came in at 65.6 which would have ranked tenth among listed guards per PFF.  While Levao is listed with the tackle group on PFF, his game logs show all of his action took place at guard.

Listed at 6′ 5” 324 by the Brahmas official web site, Levao’s pre-draft scouting reports list him at 350 pounds so it would appear he’s done a fair bit of work to get his weight down.

Where he plays for the Jets remains to be seen, but having experience at guard, tackle and center between college and the UFL makes him that much more intriguing.
