Jets add one of College Football’s Fastest Players as UDFA
As names of Jets undrafted free agents continue to pour in there’s one that jumped out at us as one of college football’s fastest players in wide receiver Tyler Harrell. A receiver who reportedly ran a 4.19 during a visit to Louisville in 2021, Harrell posted a 4.28 at his pro day.
One of the few players who may have challenged Xavier Worthy's 40 time in Indy was WR Tyler Harrell.
Reportedly ran a 4.19 on a Louisville visit and averaged 29 YPC in 2021.
Saw very few targets with 2 transfers to 'Bama and Miami but his speed alone will garner some attention. pic.twitter.com/WvilAg8L3t

Harrell didn’t have the breakout college career he’d hoped for but he undoubtedly flashed big time in 2021 with Louisville when he averaged an whopping 29 yards per reception on 18 receptions. He then followed that with transfers to Alabama and Miami for one season apiece and had a hard time getting on the field.
He’s a huge project but has untapped potential that could allow him to become a big play threat as a pro.
