TRADE: Jets Deal 2025 Pick to Eagles for Haason Reddick

Continuing to do what the Jets do, Joe Douglas has pulled off a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles to add another edge rusher in Haason Reddick.

After losing edge rusher Bryce Huff to the Eagles in free agency, the Jets had a void to fill as a team that heavily rotates bodies along their defensive front.  Adding Reddick gives them an experienced veteran who has proven he can produce.

The Jets sent a conditional 2026 pick to the Eagles based on playing time that will likely be a round three selection.  Should he play 68% or more of the team’s defensive snaps, the pick will be a round two pick.

Reddick has logged 50 sacks over his past four NFL seasons including a career high sixteen back in 2022.  Originally a draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals, Reddick played out of position for his first few pro seasons and struggled mightily before finally breaking out in 2020 with twelve sacks.

Given the addition of Reddick, it’s fair to say the Jets won’t be spending another premium pick on an edge rusher.
