Jets Re-Work CJ Mosley Deal to Free up cap Space

The Jets and CJ Mosley have re-worked the linebacker’s contract in a bid to free up some extra salary cap space.

Due to count for over $21 million against the salary cap this season, Mosley’s re-worked deal is $17 million over two seasons.  According to overthecap.com

, a Mosley re-structure would save the Jets $10.5 million but those numbers aren’t official at this time.

With extra cap space created, Jets fans are wondering if there are any moves in the team’s immediate future.

One possibility looks to be Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd who is reportedly being recruited by several Jets players according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.

The Jets have made some key moves in recent days such as trading for tackle Morgan Moses and signing guard John Simpson, but they can still use some help at both wide receiver and left tackle.
