NFL Salary cap to see $30 Million Increase
Good news for cash strapped teams such as the New York Jets as the NFL salary cap is going to be going up by roughly $30 million for the 2024 season. This, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

The NFL announced that the 2024 Salary Cap will be $255.4M per club, with an additional $74M per club payment for player benefits, which includes Performance Based Pay and benefits for retired players. Total 2024 player costs will be $329.4M per club, or more…

With less than $5 million in cap space, this news will be warmly received by Joe Douglas and company. The Jets GM will also have some more moves to make that will free up additional cash. Expect the Jets to either release or re-work contracts for CJ Mosley, John Franklin-Myers, CJ Uzomah, Laken Tomlinson, DJ Reed and others.
