I a season from hell that seemingly has no end in sight, the Jets still remain in the NFL’s bottom five according to our very own JetNation NFL Power Rankings. Here’s the top 10 with a note on Gang Green to wrap things up that would apply with or without Zach Wilson starting at quarterback.
2023 Week Thirteen
1. San Francisco 49ers (9-3)
Last Week: 5
The Niners were dominant in Philadelphia. That performance and their ability to run and throw
for big plays separates San Francisco from the pack.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (10-2)
Last Week: 1
The Eagle’s loss to San Francisco merits the declaration of a crisis. Usually, one bad week or
losing to an elite team isn’t an issue, but the manner of the beat down on their own home field
makes this different. The alarms will be ringing loud in the city of brotherly love if the Cowboys
drop the Eagles this week.
3. Dallas Cowboys (9-3)
Last Week: 2
The Cowboys got an assist from San Francisco to revive their division hopes. With an extra week
of preparation and home field, there are no excuses this week against the Eagles. The Cowboys
need to silence the critics that point out that Dallas hasn’t beaten a good team yet this season.
4. Baltimore Ravens (9-3)
Last Week 4
Baltimore is becoming the power that people forgot about. The Ravens sat home and ended the
week in a tie with Miami for home field in the playoffs. This week’s test against the Rams should
not be overlooked.
5. Miami Dolphins (9-3)
Last Week: 6
The Dolphins continue to roll over the weak. The Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills await Miami in
their closing three weeks of the season. We may not know exactly how good the Dolphins are
until then.
6. Kansas City Chiefs (8-4)
Last Week: 3
The Chiefs are not what they were in recent years. They are still an elite team. The question is if
they are good enough to win it all, and if they can do it without home-field advantage.
7. Detroit Lions (9-3)
Last Week: 8
The Lions are at 9-3 for the first time in forever. They escaped at home the last time they faced
Chicago. The Bears will remember. The Lions will need a big effort to win on the road this time.
8. Buffalo Bills (6-6)
Last Week: Unranked
The Bills return to the top ten after a bye week. The promotion is due to ineptitude on the part
of other teams, rather than anything the Bills did on the field. Winning in Kansas City will be
impressive and keep Buffalo around for a while.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4)
Last Week: 7
There has been a drastic change in the tone of the season for Jacksonville. The Jaguars are
hanging on after an unexpected loss to reeling Cincinnati. Trevor Lawrence’s injury may end the
Jags hopes for a serious playoff run.
10. Houston Texans (7-5, previously unranked)
The Texans make it back to the top ten off a huge win at home against Denver. The win pushed
the Texans past Denver in the standings and into a tie for a playoff berth. The Texans need to
show consistency now and take care of business this week against the Jets.

28. New York Jets (4-6)
Last Week: 28
The Jets can’t move the ball no matter who is under center. The offensive line is not playing
anywhere near an acceptable level. The Jets focus needs to be on staying together as a team as
their season continues to unwind as they fail to move up our power rankings from last week.
