Offensive Line Getting Healthy; NY Jets Injury Report
The Jets got some good news on the offensive line this week, as they are hopeful that Mekhi Becton can play on Sunday and Wes Schewitzer returned to the active roster. Duane Brown was added back in last week, although he didn’t play. With the emergence of Carter Warren, hopefully, the team will soon have more answers than questions.
“We tell you guys all the time, we’re going to play the best five,” offensive line coach and run game coordinator Keith Carter said. “And the way this season has gone, sometimes those decisions aren’t made until Friday.”
“We have full faith in Carter going out there and performing,” HC Robert Saleh said Friday. “He has been doing a really nice job surprisingly. He has such great body control and footwork with regards to his sets and run game. He is only going to get better considering he missed all of OTAs and training camp.”
The rest of the injury report shows that Aaron Rodgers is definitely out, no surprise there. Along with tight end Kenny Yeboah.
Israel Abanikanda, Dalvin Cook, Breece Hall and Wes Schewitzer are all listed as questionable. Dylan Tereman will post the inactives and any other updates before kickoff.
