New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh met with the media today and officially announced that quarterback Aaron Rodgers will start his 21-day practice window today. This gives the Jets three weeks to decide whether or not Rodgers will play this season.
Knocked out for what most expected to be the entire 2023 season after just four snaps, Rodgers voiced a desire to play before the year closed out. Now after opening plenty of eyes for the speed at which he was progressing, Rodgers is one step closer to suiting up this season.
Asked whether or not it was a good idea for Rodgers to play again this year, head coach Robert Saleh said he does not believe Rodgers would do anything to jeopardize his health. As he gets back to work, Rodgers has been cleared for what Saleh referred to as “functional football activity”.
The Jets also opened up the 21-day window for offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer and special teams gunner Justin Hardee.
