Nick Ferraro’s NFL Power Rankings for this week offers a deep dive into the league’s current hierarchy. From the unstoppable Kansas City Chiefs to the surging Philadelphia Eagles, these rankings provide a snapshot of who’s hot and who’s not as we move deeper into the season. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a casual observer, these rankings are your go-to source for understanding the NFL landscape. Keep an eye out for the New York Jets, who are looking to climb the ranks in the coming weeks. Let’s get into it!
1. Kansas City Chiefs (6-1)
Last Week: 1
The Chiefs held a potent Charger offense scoreless in the second half. A top-ten defense in Kansas City is very bad news for the rest of the league.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (6-1)
Last Week: 3
The Eagles regrouped nicely after the disappointing loss to the Jets. The Dolphins were no match. If the Eagles can keep from overlooking the Commanders this week, they face the Cowboys next with a chance to take control of the division.
3. Miami Dolphins (5-2)
Last Week: 2
The decisive loss in Philadelphia changed the narrative for the Dolphins. Miami went from a leading contender to a team that has lost to every good team on the schedule. Miami needs to take care of business this week against New England and then show us all something the following week against Kansas City.
4. Baltimore Ravens (5-2)
Last Week 9
The Ravens make a leap up the ratings after dominating the Lions. Recent Ravens teams would follow a win like Sundays with a complete clunker. We’ll see if the Ravens can stay focused this week in Arizona before they host the Browns.
5. San Francisco 49ers (5-2)
Last Week: 4
Everyone loses, but a second straight loss means serious questions about the Niners ability to fulfill the lofty expectations they built over the first five weeks of the season.
6. Dallas Cowboys (4-2)
Last Week: 6
The Cowboys need to show more as they have lost their only game against a top contender.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2)
Last Week: 8
The Jags will get a lot more respect if they can top the Steelers on the road this week and show well the following week at home against San Francisco.
8. Detroit Lions (5-2)
Last Week: 5
The Lions hardly showed up in Baltimore. A home tilt against the Raiders is just what the doctor ordered to start rebuilding confidence.
9. Cleveland Browns (4-2)
Last Week: Unranked
The Browns defense is elite. They are ranked number one overall. The Colts had much more success than they should have had last Sunday. It didn’t cost Cleveland, but they will need to be better to win in Seattle this week.
10. New York Jets (3-3)
Last Week: 10
The Jets “travel” to face the Giants this week off the bye. It’s the first of three games against teams with a losing record. The Jets need to start their ascent in the AFC with a win Sunday.
