Jets add Rookie DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse to Active Roster
With Sauce Gardner and DJ Reed still in concussion protocol, the Jets have added rookie DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse to their active roster. Bernard-Converse had been on the shelf before recently coming off of the PUP list and the Jets had 21 days to activate or release him.
While listed as a safety on the team’s official web site, Bernard-Converse, who was chosen 204th overall, was impressive as a cornerback in college with both Oregon State and LSU. He could offer Gang Green a versatile DB who can move around in a pinch.
The team also announced the signing of wide receiver Lance McCutcheon to the practice squad as safety Tyreque Jones was let go.
