After what felt like a weeks-long wait for any word at all from quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Jets fans got exactly what they were hoping for through the future Hall of Fame quarterback’s Instagram.
The quarterback took the time to thank those who reached out to him and wish him well, but closed with the words “The night is darkest before dawn. And I shall rise yet again”. The message was shared via ESPN New York on X.
Head coach Robert Saleh addressed the media earlier in the day and would only say that he would have a difficult time believing Rodgers would want his great career to end on such a down note. And it appears the coach was correct.
While the Jets undoubtedly look forward to Rodgers’ return, it’s time for them to continue focusing on 2023 and Zach Wilson while shopping around for a veteran insurance policy under center.
