While meeting with the media after practice today, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said that Zach Wilson and Mekhi Becton are set to play against the Cleveland Browns in this week’s Hall of Fame game. This, after Becton missed action last week as his surgically repaired knee was acting up.
While Becton and Wilson are the biggest names who are likely to suit up this week, there are plenty of other players worth keeping a close eye on.
Rookie center Joe Tippmann, who has been working with the 3’s in practice, should see plenty of action while the likes of Michael Carter, Bam Knight, Izzy Abanikanda and Travis Dye will be trying to make an early impression.
With holes on the depth chart at linebacker and safety, those two groups are also going to be important viewing as a handful of players figure to be fighting for just a few spots.
