Chuck Clark Finished for 2023 Season as Torn ACL is Confirmed
New York Jets safety Chuck Clark is officially out for the 2023 NFL season as it was announced today that the newcomer suffered a torn ACL during OTA’s earlier this month. This, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Initial reports said only that Clark had knee injury for which he was seeking a second opinion.
#Jets S Chuck Clark suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season, sources said following the MRI. Clark, who NYJ traded for, also received a second opinion. This explains the signing of veteran DB Adrian Amos, who fills the void.

Clark came to the Jets via trade from the Baltimore Ravens where he was referred to as the Ravens “Ironman”, having played over 1,200 consecutive snaps without incident.
Now a member of the Jets, Clark will hit free agency before playing a single snap in Green and White as he has just one season remaining on his deal. With Clark, the Jets could opt to do what they did with safety LaMarcus Joyner last season, bringing him back after missing the entire year after signing a one-year deal.
To counteract the Clark injury, the Jets added free agent safety Adrian Amos just last week.
