Jets Create cap Space by Re-Working John Franklin-Myers Contract
Looking to free up a bit of cap space before Aaron Rodgers’ contract hits their books, the Jets and defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers have re-worked JFM’s deal according to insider Field Yates.
The Jets have converted $4.32M of DL John Franklin-Myers base salary into a signing bonus, creating ~$3.5M in 2023 salary cap space, per source.
A little more flexibility for the Jets for when they have to eventually fit a restructured contract for Aaron Rodgers on their books.
