It’s Official; Jets Introduce Aaron Rodgers as Team’s new Starting Quarterback
Much to the relief of GM Joe Douglas, Aaron Rodgers is finally a member of the New York Jets. Six weeks after publicly saying he would like to join Gang Green, Rodgers was introduced to the New York Media at 1 Jets drive.

Rodgers immediately steps in as the best quarterback the team has ever had and hopes to lead them to just their second ever Super Bowl victory. Rodgers did comment at one point to the press on hand that the Super Bowl III trophy he saw on his way in was “looking a little lonely”.
When it came to the biggest question of the day, that of course being how long he plans on playing for the Jets, Rodgers didn’t commit to anything beyond this season.
Asked if he'll play more than one season with the @nyjets, Rodgers just says he's just excited to start working with his teammates and the New York media which he has "heard a lot about"

Rodgers did however express a desire to get to work, saying he plans on practicing tomorrow and is looking forward to putting together some team building exercises with his new teammates.
Asked what some of the factors were in coming to the Jets, it seems his relationship with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was major factor. “I love him like a brother” said Rodgers of the coordinator he’s known for many years.
Asked how good it feels to have Rodgers on board, @woodyjohnson4 says "we had a team last year that was just missing one part" and now it's "onward and upward".

Jets owner Woody Johnson also spoke after the press conference and simply said “We had a team last year that was missing one part. Now it’s onward and upward”.
