Jets Re-Sign Offensive Tackle Cedric Ogbuehi to add O-Line Depth
Offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi provided the New York Jets with some veteran depth at offensive tackle last season and Gang Green is bringing him back to do the same this season.
#Jets announced they’ve re-signed OL Cedric Ogbuehi, who started 5 of the 7 games he played in for NY last season.
More depth for the O-line.

Ogbuehi, a former first round draft pick of the Bengals in 2015 after starring at Texas A&M hasn’t lived up to the early hype, but being thin at tackle, the Jets saw enough out of him last season to bring him back for 2023.
The veteran lineman played 246 snaps for the Jets last season in seven games (five starts). Previously he’d spent time with the Jaguars, Seahawks and Ravens.
With the NFL draft looming and the Jets likely to take a tackle with one of their top picks, there’s still work to be done at the bottom of the depth chart as the Jets have more questions than answers at tackle. Duane Brown is getting long in the tooth at left tackle, Mekhi Becton has missed two seasons due to injury and Max Mitchell has been dealing with blood clots since last season.
