Franklin-Myers Latest Jet to Re-Work Contract to Create Cap Space

John Franklin-Myers

Add John Franklin-Myers to the list of players moving some of their money around to give the Jets a little bit of breathing room under the salary cap.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Jets have created $4.8 million in cap room by converting a portion of Franklin-Myers’ base salary into a signing bonus.

The defensive lineman joins cornerback DJ Reed, left guard Laken Tomlinson, and tight ends Tyler Conklin and CJ Uzomah in creating cap space for any future additions.
