Just a few weeks after adding him to their practice squad, the Jets have signed offensive tackle Mike Remmers a one-year deal and added him to their active roster. The move gives the Jets a more experienced backup at tackle.
A veteran of nine pro seasons, Remmers has started 90 games as a member of the Chargers, Panthers, Vikings, Giants and Chiefs. Statistically one of the worst tackles on the NFL, McDermott’s time with the Jets come to a close.
