As the Jets prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers, GM Joe Douglas has done some tinkering with his roster to improve the team’s depth in the trenches.
The team activated defensive end Vinny Curry who has yet to appear in a game for the Jets despite signing with them last off-season. Curry missed all of last year with a rare medical disorder and has been out with injuries this season.
To make room for Curry, the Jets let go of wide receiver turned tight end Lawrence Cager.
The team also elevated veteran tackle Mike Remmers, who has started 90 career games, to the active roster along with tight end Kenny Yeboah. An undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss last season, Yeboah appeared in 9 games as a rookie, catching 2 passes for 36 yards.
