Jets Waiting for Zach Wilson’s MRI Results
Every Jets fan had that all too familiar moment on Friday night when Zach Wilson got hurt early in the first preseason game. Oh no, not again, was the though racing through everyone’s mind. Early word and speculation seemed to lend itself to a serious knee injury. The Jets are taking a wait-and-see approach and here are some of the thoughts shared late on Friday night that were more encouraging.
While the Jets will wait for the MRI tomorrow to get more answers on Zach Wilson’s knee situation, sources share the early thought is it could be a PCL injury. More definitive answers coming but there’s hope among the team it could just be a few weeks of recovery.

A source added this is the same knee Zach Wilson injured last October when he sprained his PCL, which sidelined him for a few weeks.
A re-injured PCL is their concern.— Dianna Russini (@DMRussini) August 13, 2022
I’ve heard 2-3 weeks best case, 4-6 worst case. He will miss time. The #Jets & Zach Wilson do not believe he is missing the season.
Jets spooked after Becton, which is why they’ve taken this stance. Truly awaiting the confirmation tomorrow, but fans can go to sleep with hope https://t.co/E29Y5uW21l

So to summarize: Wilson's ACL appears to be intact, per Saleh. As @diannaESPN reported earlier, and a source confirms, the early indication is that it could be PCL (same as last year). So right now the #Jets are hopeful it's not season ending. The MRI is tomorrow.
