Duane Brown had options outside of the #Jets — contending teams. He picked New York knowing playoffs might be long shot. Says a lot about culture Robert Saleh is building. Brown wanted to come to New York.

He may have had options as Connor Hughes suggests, but he definitely used his leverage to get a nice pay day. Per Adam Schefter this is a two-year, 22 million dollar deal. It will be interesting to see how much of that is in year one because at his age (37) this could very well be a one year deal.
Comp update: Jets are giving Duane Brown a two-year, $22 million deal, per source.

The other thing to be worked out is where does he play? He has been a left tackle his entire career. The 6’4″ 315lb veteran is a great scheme fit and the Jets had to bring in a veteran. Brown spent 10 years with the Houston Texans and 4 with the Seattle Seahawks.
