It’s starter money for Reed at $11 million per after a career year with the Seahawks in which he picked up 2 interceptions, 10 passes defended and 78 tackles. Reed was recently named a player the Seahawks could least afford to lose after dealing quarterback Russ Wilson to the Broncos.
The one knock on Reed is his height at corner as he checks in at 5′ 9”. It didn’t stop Reed from finishing among the best corners in the NFL in completion percentage allowed.

Comfortable in both man and zone coverage, Reed should settle in right away as he played for Jets head coach Robert Saleh in San Francisco when Saleh was his defensive coordinator. Reed is the Jets first free agent addition on the defensive side of the ball.
