Jets Reportedly Come to Terms With TE CJ Uzomah on three-year $24 Million Deal
Jets GM Joe Douglas continues to address the team’s biggest needs via free agency by signing Bengals free agent tight end CJ Uzomah. Having already added guard Laken Tomlinson and retaining receiver Braxton Berrios, it was time to keep adding players on offense.CJ
And there it is. CJ Uzomah is set to be a Jet per @AdamSchefter. May have eclipsed the production of every Jets TE over the past six or seven years with this one play. pic.twitter.com/2WFPsGKZSk

With no viable pass catchers at the position, adding the 6′ 6” Uzomah after posting a career high in receptions, yards and touchdowns last season with 49/493/5 is huge. Even after adding the big man, expect the Jets to add another tight end via the draft as the need for multiple new players is quite evident.
Expect the Jets TE room to look a lot different in 2022. Both Tyler Kroft and Ryan Griffin were largely invisible last season and Dan Brown will be exclusively on special teams if he were to return.
Kenny Yeboah may be back as well after spending the majority of the season on the practice squad before seeing a handful of snaps down the stretch.
